“So what/when is your next big adventure?” It is a questions asked by friends, coworkers and even my parents since May of 2011; when I couldn’t sit still for more than a couple of months at a time as my bank account and vacation time recuperated from a previous adventure.
I promised you, my readers, Shark Month in July and something like regular posts after that. I had a plan and I guess I should have scheduled my posts. Oops. Because life got in the way…with a big surprise.
My next big adventure is going to be bigger than any adventure I’ve embarked on before; more exciting than going to South Africa to dive with sharks, more terrifying than jumping out of a plane. I am about to check another thing off of my bucket list because I am going to become a mommy in February! So this Sarah will not be going under the sea again until next summer.
Thankfully, my silence as I tried to navigate my changing role in life means I have a lot of posts about shenanigans I got into this spring and summer before I knew about my little sea monkey to keep things moving here on the blog while pregnancy limits what I can experience. I hope you stick around to see what this evolves into because I am still trying to figure it out.
Here is what I know: I plan to continue my diving adventures after baby arrives and baby’s first travels are already in the works. I may have had to slow down to accommodate my growing belly but I plan to keep going once baby is here.
Are you a parent? How do you balance parenthood with travel? diving? adventure?
